Who runs Riverell, and is this advice?

Riverell is a knowledge-sharing site run by the Riverell team. Riverell is not a lender. What we publish is general information and the team's views, not financial, legal or tax advice. LEGAL REVIEW

Which sources do we use?

We use sources in this order of preference:

  1. Singapore laws and regulator pages: MAS, the Ministry of Law (Registry of Moneylenders), ACRA and IRAS.
  2. Government agencies and schemes: Enterprise Singapore, the Department of Statistics, the Singapore Police Force, ScamShield and MAS MoneySense.
  3. Industry bodies, such as the Association of Banks in Singapore.
  4. Published product pages of Singapore banks, used only as examples of how products are described, never as recommendations.

Each fact is cited with a numbered source and the date we accessed it.

How is each guide checked?

Each guide is checked line by line against its sources, and the date of that check is shown on the page. Lines we could not confirm are softened or removed. Worked examples are labelled "Illustration only".

Who writes and checks the guides?

Guides are written by the Riverell editorial team and published under that team name, not under individual names. We do not use made-up author names or personas, and we do not claim qualifications on a guide.

Before a guide goes live, its figures and scheme details are checked line by line against the official sources cited on the page, and the guide shows the date of that check. The current guides were fact-checked on : lines we could confirm keep their source, lines that needed correcting were corrected, and lines no official source covers were rewritten in general terms.

An independent expert review has not been done yet. Each guide says "Independent expert review: pending", and we will not describe a guide as reviewed until a review has actually taken place. LEGAL REVIEW

How often are guides updated?

Each guide shows when it was published, when it was last updated and when its figures were checked. Time-limited figures are rechecked when they are due to change: for example, the current EFS enhancements run to 31 Mar 2027, so the EFS guide is due for an update by . Regular review cycle: [TO CONFIRM: review cycle].

How do we correct mistakes?

If you spot an error, tell us at [TO CONFIRM: corrections contact]. We correct factual errors and update the "Last updated" date on the guide. [TO CONFIRM: whether to keep a public corrections note]

How do we decide what goes in a guide?

We decide what goes in our guides based on official sources and the questions business owners ask. Guides describe financing routes, not sales pitches, and they do not name, rank or recommend specific lenders or products. LEGAL REVIEW

How we use AI

Riverell is an AI-native team. We use AI to research and draft, every guide links to its official sources, and the Riverell team reviews each guide before it's published. LEGAL REVIEW

What do we never do?

  • Name, rank or recommend specific lenders or products.
  • Present an illustration as a quote, an offer or a market rate.
  • Let anyone outside the Riverell team decide what a guide says. We decide, based on official sources.
